10 Places in Edmonton Where Your Kids Can Eat for Free

Half the time, when we bring our kids to a restaurant they don’t come close to finishing their food. It’s hard on the wallet when you’re out and suddenly have two or three people eating meals, added to the bill – and it adds insult to injury when you’re packing it all up to bring home in a take-out container. It’s a little easier to face, when you’re checking out one of the many places kids eat free in Edmonton.

LOVEPizza | Sunday
Kids eat free at LOVEPizza on Sunday, with the purchase of a regular pizza. The kids meals here include a waffle cookie, drink, and the kids choice of pizza – plus a little something extra to finish while you wait for yours.

Press’d | Weekends
Sandwiches are one of our go-to meals before we head to one of the local playgrounds, and on the weekend, kids eat free (with the purchase of a regular sandwich). We love the idea of grabbing lunch on the cheap when we’re on the run through the weekend.

State & Main | Mondays
Kids eat free at State & Main in Sherwood Park (check your local State & Main to see if they do at your closest location, if it’s not Sherwood Park) on Mondays, as usual, with paying adult.

Montanas | Tuesday
Kids eat free on Tuesdays at Montana’s and it’s a great opportunity to bring the kids out for a casual meal, and see one of the incredible balloon artists that they employ. The kids can barely wait when they see them making their way around the restaurant. Tip: the best balloon twister is at the Sherwood Park location. Get there early, it gets packed!

Ripe Tomato Pizza | Tuesday
If you’re searching for fast pizza, and a casual restaurant where you can get fired pizza, with a delicious crunchy and chewy crust, you’re going to want to head over to Ripe Tomato at Ellerslie. Kids eat free on Tuesday. Try the feature pizza, it’s delicious – if you’re into something spicy and delicious.

Grandin Fish n Chips
The newest place in Edmonton to announce where kids eat free in Edmonton, is Grandin Fish n Chips. It’s a delicious fish and chips place, downtown with a small (but great) patio, and banofee pie that’s just oh so good. Kids under twelve get a free kids meal for every adult meal ordered.

Panda Express | Tuesday
Driving through the drive through the other day to grab an order of the honey chicken, we were surprised to learn that on Tuesdays, kids eat free. The cashier saw the kids in the car

Via Cibo | Monday
Kids eat free on Monday with the purchase of an adult entree. The kids love the pasta here, and the generous portions that come with it. Plus, what kid doesn’t love the occasional Italian soda treat? Go for the pasta, it’s always a kid-pleaser.

Delux Burger Bar | Monday
Monday just got more fun. There’s a reason that it’s called Monday Funday at Delux Burger Bar. Kids eat free and it’s a great way to grab dinner with the kids. The kids are going to love the cotton candy at the end of the meal, and you’re going to love the many, many burger options on the menu. Pro tip: the poutines and sides are large, you can share one between the parents.

Chutneys Indian Grill | After 4 pm
Kids eat free after 4pm on the weekdays, and all day on the weekends at Chutney’s Indian Grill. Even the fussiest of kids will find something they like on the menu, with the versatile options for wraps and bowls. Plus, they’ve got these delicious energy balls to finish up the meal with.

4404 | Everyday
At the Delta hotel restaurants, Kids 6 and under eat free (7-12 are 50% off) breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you’re in the mood to try something new from your usual kid-friendly dinner out, this is a great option!

  1. What ages are considered “kids” at all these places? Only two of the ads state the age and the fact that the free kids meal(s) are based on the number of adult meals ordered. some of the ads say “kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal” – so does that mean 1 kids meal with each adult meal purchased? so a mom alone with two or three kids would get one free kids meal? i love this list of places but i wish there was more information on the exact details. thank you

    1. Most of the time, kids are under twelve. Also, most of the time its one kid eating free per adult.
