3 Fun Upcoming Edmonton Gingerbread Decorating Workshops for Kids

One of my favourite parts of the holiday season with children is the baking: the cookies, the decorating the gingerbread house creating – but even though it’s one of my favourites, I don’t love the mess that comes with it, and the bits of tiny candy that are scattered around the floor, and icing that dries to the table. Luckily, there are plenty of workshops in Edmonton where kids can create gingerbread houses, and leave the mess somewhere other than your kitchen. 

Here are five Edmonton gingerbread decorating workshops for kids:

City Market Downtown Gingerbread Workshop
Each gingerbread house kit will come with fresh baked, all-butter gingerbread (roof, walls, chimney and front door), icing and a piping bag, a foil covered wooden board for your house to sit on, and a selection of delicious candies! If you have a favourite candy, feel free to bring it along to customize your gingerbread house.

Gingerbread House Decorating for Kids
Start a new tradition! Join us at the Cooking School to decorate your very own gingerbread house. We provide the pre-assembled house, royal icing, and all the candies, and you have a blast decorating. When your masterpiece is complete, we‘ll wrap it in cellophane ready for you to take home to display! Children under five years of age must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Maximum two people per house.
