4 Edmonton Playgrounds You Need to Explore This Summer

Eaux Claires Playground,Eaux Claires Playground 16103 95 St

This playground is one of our favorites to bring along scooters and small ride along toys. The fun ‘road’ on the edge of the playground mean that the kids are going to run off a lot of that energy before bedtime. When they’re finished playing on the fun roadway, they can climb all over the playground equipment and make bedtime even easier.

Borden Park Playground, 11200 74 Street

Borden Park Playground

Treehouse and natural themed playgrounds are a poplar trend in Playground design and Borden Park tops our list every single year because of the vast amount of green space to run, jump and play. The treehouse themed structure is one of the most fun to play hide and seek, and the kids love shimmying down the second structure that resembles a ship. Plus, you can picnic by the fountains, and view the in-park sculptures to extend the playdate.

Mary Finelay Park, 10150 80th Street

Mary Finlay Park Edmonton

At what other park in the city can you go through a bear while you’re playing on the structure? The park is one of our favorites because of the structure, and there’s some nice shade in the area so you don’t have to worry about spending too much time in the sun.

Kinsmen Park, Walterdale Hill

Grizzly-Bear-Lodge-Park-Edmonton

This fun park has something for everyone. It’s huge, so there are varied places to play from the new playground equipment featuring bears to climb, and rock structures with ropes to scale, to the traditional hillside slides that have been left over to the edge of the park, near the picnic and BBQ area.
