5 Kid Friendly Exhibits You Have to See at Nuit Blanche Edmonton #yeg

Nuit Blanche is one of the Edmonton fall events that I’m most excited about. It’s a fantastic excuse to make one of those magical nights, have a late night family nap and stay up late experiencing something new with festivities that start at 7 pm and go until 4 am.

For one night, Nuit Blanche will transform downtown Edmonton for one night only. Mark your calendar for September 26th. Not sure what to do with the kids, or why to bring them? Here are some suggestions for Kid Friendly Nuit Blanche Edmonton.

Bouncy Castle Highrise

A 50-foot tall bouncy castle sculpture will be installed throughout the night, stacking one castle on top of the other. There are going to be so many exhibits here that are going to fill the kids with wonder, you’re not going to want to miss Nuit Blanche – the kids are going to think it’s magic.

Soccer Pitch

Kids (and adults) can play soccer on a crazy field set up downtown or just watch others play. You’re not going to want the chance to miss this crazy game, on a crazy field!

Blue Christmas

Ali Nickerson’s Blue Christmas–This is an all-night workshop for Santa’s elves, who will be working with the artist to hand-make gifts in response to visitors’ wish lists.

Hang a Wish on the Wish Tree

Make a wish at Churhill Square with Yoko Ono’s interactive installation (her biggest yet!). This exhibit is actually open early on Saturday at 5pm, and it’s also extended to be open from 12-3 on Sunday as well.

The Digital Greenhouse

This is an interactive digital “ecosystem” made up of light and sound that you can wander around in. If this doesn’t excite you about being out after bedtime, you can bet it’s going to excite the kids.
