Back This Year: Your Kid Can Set up a ‘Kid Business’ at Miller Crossing Farmers Market

Miller Crossing Farmers Market opens for the 2017 season on May 28th – with new vendors, and kid-friendly activities. Also back, is the opportunity for local kids to test their entrepreneurial skills. This is a learning opportunity for kids (10-16 years old) with a passion for business.

The program aims to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic in kids. Kids will learn basic skills such as how to advertise and sell the products, how to present their small business, how to communicate with the public and develop those essential entrepreneurial skills.

Each young entrepreneur will be responsible for their own table and chairs, table-cloth and cash box. Millers Crossing Farmer’s Market will provide marketing support on our website, and free spots on the market. The best part? Kids can set up their own small business with no market booth fees.
