Week-long Summer Day Camps , July & August 2018 Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village
Ages: 6-11 

From hard work to active play, this week-long summer day camp gives kids the experience of pioneer life in the Ukrainian bloc settlement of east-central Alberta in the 1920s. Wearing historic costumes, kids will experience life in a one-room school, learn to cook traditional foods, do chores, help with gardening and have the opportunity to develop their imagination and creativity while exploring nature!

Ages: 12-16
 

Junior Interpreters will explore the 1920’s as real life characters on farms, town businesses and residences. Alongside professional interpreters they will depict the actual youth who lived and worked in buildings at the UCHV. Participants will learn about the history and every-day life of Ukrainian-Canadian settlers in the 1920’s and be exposed to opportunities of working in a museum setting. 

Transportation provided with convenient drop-off and pick-up locations in Edmonton and Sherwood Park. Transportation from Vegreville, Lamont and Mundare for week six (August 15 to 19).
