Clay with Me
In this class, you will introduce your child to the wonders of clay! Explore pinch, slab and coil techniques while you create memories and treasures and develop fine motor skills. Adult participation required during the class. All materials included.
At $84 for the cost of the program, it’s a great value for a ninety-minute weekly class where you will create, paint and have lovely items to bring home with you. It’s designed for children aged 3-5, with a heavy focus on parental involvement, where you’re creating things together.
During the course of the program, we made: a seasonal craft like a Jack O Lantern, a monster, a family plaque, and a hand and footprint to bring home. We learned techniques like pinching and coiling, and can’t wait to sign up for the next class!
How to Register: Clay with Me is part of the Strathcona County Smeltzer House programs, featured in the Strathcona County Rec Guide. Registration for the programs is quarterly, with a new rec guide being released each season.
