We are lucky to live in Edmonton, where there are so many free events and kids activities to choose from all around the city. Through the fall, you can find even more when you stop by your local Chapters Indigo store on Saturday mornings at ten, to take part in special kids programming, for free – and have a bit of fun with a new theme every week.
September 12 American Girl: Activities inspired by the stories of American Girl’s newest Girl of the Year®, Grace Thomas. Come play at the store and learn a bit more about your favorite American Girl.
September 19 Pyjama Jam Storytime: Kids are invited come in favourite pyjamas and bring bedtime buddy as we read Pyjama Day! by Robert Munsch
September 26 National Colouring Day: September 26th is National Colouring Day and we’re celebrating at every Indigo, Chapters and Coles store across the country. Colouring is one of the biggest trends this year and we are offering free colouring activities in-store to share in the excitement. There will be colouring activities and Storytime for the kids.
October 3 Star Wars Day: Activities in anticipation for upcoming release of Star Wars: Episode VII. This one’s a must for the Star Wars fan in your house – and I bet the parents are going to have fun too.
October 10 Goosebumps: Come to the store and find some fun activities to help you gear up for Halloween! Don’t worry, it won’t be too scary.
October 17 Imaginary Friend: Kids are invited to bring along their own imaginary friend as we share the adventures of some of our favourite imaginary pals. Which book featuring an imaginary friend is your favorite?
October 24: This one’s to be announced. It’s a surprise!
