Spooky Science is back at Telus World of Science. It’s a fun way to celebrate Halloween weekend, spending time indoors taking part in experiments, watching movies and enjoying science themed fun for kids and families in Edmonton.

Here are some of the fun things to do on Spooky Science Weekend: 

Haunting Good Fun in the IMAX Theatre!

Tip: Come dressed in your Halloween costume and receive 10% off the cost of one (1) IMAX ticket!

Science Demo à la Pumpkin Spice! 
When: Saturday, October 29, & Sunday, October 30 at 3:00 p.m.
Don’t miss our most ghoulish science demo yet! This weekend ONLY we’ll perform the Halloween Pumpkin Special, live on the Science Demo Stage. Things are bound to get more than a little messy with exploding pumpkins, glowing pumpkins, smashing pumpkins, oozing pumpkins and launching pumpkins… We dare you not to have a screaming good time!

Ominous Build N’ Go 
When: Saturday, October 29, & Sunday, October 30
$25 per wire. Drop-In Times TBC, stay tuned!
You don’t have to be afraid of the dark with this cool project, suitable for every creative “maker” in the family. Make your name in lights with Electroluminescent Wire! OR, bring something from home to sew/glue/snap the wire too. We even turned an old backpack into something out of Sci-Fi movie!

Mysterious Organ Dissections
When: Saturday, October 29, & Sunday, October 30 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Meet our TWOSE staff scientists in The Body Fantastic for a hands-on biology lesson. We’ll dissect cow hearts and sheep eyeballs and learn all about how these organs function.

Creepy Crawly Critters
When: Saturday, October 29, & Sunday, October 30 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
We’re unleashing our creepiest, crawliest critters this weekend! What better time than Halloween to meet our beautiful chaco golden knee tarantulas, Itsy & Shelob! We’ll learn all about these misunderstood critters and what makes them so fascinating!

All of the above activities are included with general admission, except for the screening of Casper and the Build and Go workshop. The Build and Go workshop is priced at $20.
