It’s March and though the weather hasn’t warmed up – there’s plenty of festivals and things to do in Edmonton this weekend with kids. We’ve got plenty of fun indoor activities and outdoor ativities if you’re feeling particular brave and want to get outside with the kids.

Teacher’s Convention Camp at the Zoo
This jam-packed two-day camp offers the best of our most popular summer daycamp activities. We’ll help the zookeepers prepare an animal diet and make a special enrichment surprise for one of our winter-loving animals. Together we’ll travel behind-the-scenes and meet animals large and small. On the last day, we’ll go on an animal-themed treasure hunt, piecing together a treasure map and meeting animals on the way, and end it all with a winter treat!
Leefield Winter Family Fun Day
There will be a variety of FREE drop-in outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy. Join us for snow painting, snowshoeing, snow fort building, hot chocolate, and much more!
Make a Painted Rock at Michaelds Kids Craft Session
Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Choose from two projects designed specifically for your little maker’s age range. $2, ages 3-8 or $5, ages 6+, supplies are included. Sessions starting every half hour from 10am – 11:30 am. See a store associate to join the fun! Sign up in store or just drop in. Parents must remain on premises during the event.
Makebreak at Michaels: Make a Birdhouse
Paint a pretty little birdhouse for your feathered friends. Buy the birdhouse, and the supplies to decorate it will be provided.
Glow Night at Jump 360
Glow Night features all of our usual equipment in a party atmosphere, complete with flashing lights, lasers and some great music! So pull up your jump socks and put on your whitest white and get glowin’! Glow Nights for General Public is from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Wear glow gear for some lit up fun!
Rabbit Hill Family Winter Festival
Rabbit Hill is proud to host our 8th Annual Family Winter Festival on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 10am to 3pm. The day is going to be filled with activities that the whole family can enjoy. We are excited to partner with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). $1 from every lift ticket sold on the day plus all proceeds from the Silent Auction, BBQ and Bake Sale will go to benefit JDRF. Come for the snow slide, scavenger hunt and family fun!

Join us for a Family Skating on March 3rd from 2pm to 5pm. We’ll be hosting a pick up hockey game and skills challenge so be sure to bring your hockey gear and stick around for snacks and prizes.

Meet us at the Manning Village park on March 3rd from 1 to 3pm for a Party in the Park! We will be providing complimentary Hot Chocolate, Coffee & Sweet Treats. Take your furry friends, we’ll have some treats for them too and don’t forget to bring your sleds – toboggans – crazy carpets!
