What to do in Edmonton this Weekend (with Kids) February 10-12

What are you doing this weekend with the kids? From a performance that will have them laughing, and screaming with excitement, it’s Hamelin at the Arden Theater – and if you’re searching for something outdoors, it’s Silver Skate weekend. Plus, there are plenty of free make-and-take kids events going on. Here’s what to do in Edmonton this weekend, with the kids:

Catch a performance of Hamelin | Arden Theatre
Introduce your children to theatre, with this modern fable. In 13th century Germany, the medieval town of Hamelin is way too big for its lederhosen. The town is governed by a spoiled Mayor, his Mommy and stuffy corporate cronies who have left the town in serious trouble. Twins Celeste and Ralph are baffled, so with the help of a hapless “Minstrel”, they devise a plan and set out to make the grown-ups wake up and smell the strudel! Stretching the boundaries of live theatre through mime, dance, clown, puppetry and acrobatics, Axis Theatre has amused and inspired children, families and adults with entertaining shows for over 40 years.
Pre show activities for kids begin at 1 pm
