What to do this Weekend with Kids | November 18-20

Santa’s Parade of Lights | Sir Winston Churchill Square
Bundle up and gather with family, friends and community in downtown Edmonton to kickoff the holiday season. There is a ton of fun things to do before and after the parade from 5 until 7 p.m.! Stop in Churchill Square, beginning at 4, to grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks.
When: Saturday, 4-7

All is Bright | 124 Street
While you’re downtown exploring the Santa’s parade of lights, head over to 124 Street. The kids will enjoy the day! The bigger kids will enjoy the night! Everyone will enjoy the countdown to the turning on of the holiday lights in the area. ‘All is Bright’ on 124 Street is happening Saturday, November 19th. Bring your dancing shoes to take in some of Canada’s top bands, lose yourself in the magic.
When: Saturday, 4-9

Strathcona County Celebration of Lights | Festival Place
Kids activities, all day. At 5 p.m. join Santa and the Mayor as the magic of the season comes alive with the digital Christmas tree and community holiday lights outside the Community Centre. Enjoy a FREE afternoon full of magical and unforgettable activities!
When: Saturday, 2-6

Red Fish Blue Fish Christmas Marketplace | Cornerstone Hall St Albert (6 Tache Street)
Christmas Marketplace with over 30+ vendors. Bring the kids for a Santa visit from 11-2, professional photographer taking photos for purchase. $2 admission, kids free, free entry with food bank donation.
When: Saturday, 10-4

Cookie Decorating | Southgate Centre
For the young and the young-at-heart! Take a break from Christmas shopping and decorate cookies with the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton. You bring your creativity and a donation to the Christmas Bureau and we’ll bring the cookies, icing, and decorations.
When: Saturday, 10-3

I <3 YEG Winter | Alfred H. Savage Centre
On November 20th, from 1 – 4 pm, come down to Whitemud Park and explore winter in Edmonton’s River Valley. Try out free winter activities such as; bannock making, snowshoeing and kicksledding (weather permitting). Enjoy some tasty snacks and warm drinks while exploring the River Valley partner booths. This is a family-friendly that is free to attend!
When: Sunday, 1-4
