Monthly themes enhance learning, while fieldtrips and special guests further deepen the children’s experiences. All classes are taught with a fun, play-based approach, because here at Rio Terrace Community Preschool, we believe that it is through play and exploration that children learn most effectively, and best understand their world.

Caminitos Spanish Playschool is a Spanish/English program for children between the ages of 3-5. No previous knowledge of Spanish is required. All children, regardless of their Spanish language skills, are welcomed to attend. Our playschool offers the experience of a qualified bilingual teacher, specializing in early childhood education, where children will learn Spanish through play and instructional interaction.
We like to consider ourselves the first step in benefiting your child with Spanish as a second language. Your children can continue their education by attending the Spanish kindergarten and elementary programs offered at the Escuela Mill Creek School.

Play is our essential part of the learning. Through play children are able to develop social, cognitive and physical skills. Their goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where children are able to be and explore. They also have some structure objectives in which they encourage preparing for kindergarten. The children learn early literacy, fine motor skills in early writing, through journals and worksheets. They are also Spanish Bilingual where we introduce a few basic spanish words and songs to our 4 year olds. Children will learn how to interact with their peers, basic safety learning and learn new routines. Kids will participate in growing, nurturing, harvesting their own vegetables and fruit, through our newly added Tower Garden. They will be able to eat their own grown harvest!
First Discoveries Preschool has been serving Edmonton families since 1981. Please join us for our Open House event to learn more about this fantastic play-based program. Offering morning and afternoon programs for the 2020/21 school year.

Promise preschool seeks to foster and enhance learning opportunities for your pre-kindergarten children. As a result, the program has adapted a weekly theme, number, and color that will be taught and emphasized each day. In this way, the center is preparing students for concepts they will encounter in their daily lives as well as in their future schooling.
Throughout the entire year we will also be working with the preschoolers to learn main bible stories through the art of drama and song. We hope and believe that each child will experience the love and provision of the Lord through these devotions.
