There are Camps for Every Kid with City of Edmonton

With summer quickly approaching – I mean, can you already believe how much it feels like summer? – it’s time to start thinking about summer camp. Sure, you could spend hours searching through summer camp guides, brochures and kid-based websites, but wouldn’t you rather have one resource, with camps for children, regardless of their interest?

City of Edmonton daycamps provide local children with an environment that combines learning and fun, creating new friendships, developing new skills and keeping children active. Plus, daycamps come with the added benefit of not hearing ‘I’m bored’, halfway through summer vacation.

Camps are in a variety of locations, making it convenient for parents arranging camp drop-off and pick-up, with camps in neighbourhoods that are hosted at community league halls or community organizations. In addition to these neighbourhood camps, parents can find fantastic camps at city attractions like the Edmonton Valley Zoo, Muttart Conservatory, Recreation Centres and River Valley Parks.

As a parent, you’ll appreciate how user-friendly the website is to not only find camps for your children, of every age with every interest, but how to register for the camps.

Tip: Don’t want to commit to a full week of camp? There are fantastic programs that are designed for one day like the Survive the Wild camp where children learn how to survive in the Canadian wild, spending the day in the River Valley. (Learn more about the Survive the Wild camp in the River Valley section of the website)

What types of camps can you expect from the City of Edmonton?

Bike and Golf Camp | This summer, combine your child’s love of biking and golf and join River Valley Programs as we explore the River Valley trails by bike and learn the basics of golf.
