Strathcona County has your answer when it comes to ‘What should we do with the kids this summer that’s not going to break the bank?’. From free drop-in play days, to choose your own adventure fitness programs and even the opportunity for families to take part in popular backyard games, like Giant Jenga, there’s plenty going on in the county this summer.
Here’s what you can do this summer for FREE in Strathcona County
Choose Your Own Adventure Fitness
When: Tuesdays, 9 am – 10 am
Choose your own adventure fitness is an outdoor workout for all fitness levels. 14+
BYOEquipment and play on the artificial turf field. You can also run the stairs, do laps, and get active on your own. This is a great place to find people to take part in a game of your favourite sport, or get active with the kids in the field – also? It’s a great place to meet new friends!
When: Friday, 12:30 – 3 pm
Giant Jenga, ladder golf, washer toss, etc. This is an all ages afternoon where you can try something new, or experience one of your favourite backyard games with the kids. Games are provided – just bring your family and be ready for fun.
Summer Play Days
When: July 10, August 14, August 28
Summer Play Days are the chance for kids to get back to play! Play in the sand and dirt, build forts and take part in activities the whole family will enjoy.
When: July 17, 31 and August 7, 21
