Edmonton Valley Zoo | 10-6
At the Zoo we are celebrating Red-Pandamonium, because we love them so! Check back here on event day for a schedule of the day’s activities, including live music, games, animal encounters, a Red Panda Craft, and lots more.
Fort Edmonton Park | All day
Admission is free, but there is a nominal cost for tickets for the Midway rides/games. Additionally, the Pony Rides and Steam Train will not be running on Free Admission Day.
John Walter Museum | 1-4
Who was John Walter and why is Walterdale important to Edmonton? Drop-in tours run throughout the day. Go on a walk across the Walterdale bridge to see the river, Rossdale and the Legislature/original Fort Edmonton site. Come for treats, crafts and learn to can and preserve.
John Janzen Nature Centre | 10-5
Full day of fun including kids crafts and games, indoor playground, nature suncatchers, presentation from wild birds and nature alberta, sidewalk chalk, trail tales,
Muttart Conservatory |
Activities will be plentiful, and admission free. Make a small eco-friendly pot from newspaper, use your imagination to transform it into an artistic masterpiece, then pop in some soil and the nasturtium plant seed. Take home your creation, add water and enjoy your Muttart potted planted for weeks to come! There will be live entertainment, EPL will be there, and kids will have a great time.
Edmonton Rec Centres Participating in Free Admission Day
Clareview Rec Centre | In addition to free admission, there will be family fun activities throughout the day at Clareview Rec Centre like the indoor playground, outdoor turf and tours.
Commonwealth Rec Center | Visit for the free admission, there will be public swim, open gym, open field house.
Mill Woods Rec Center | Visit all day for free and take part in public swim, indoor playground and open gym.
St. Francis Xavier Rec Centre | Try out a wide range of different sports activities in the gyms throughout the day or do a lap around the track!
Terwillegar Rec Centre | Free admission all day and indoor skate, public swim and indoor playground for the kids.
