Kensington New Year’s Day Skating Party

Come on down for free all ages new years Skate party. There will be hot chocolate, popcorn and a fun skating session for the whole family. All ages are welcome.

Pop-up Sledding Party in Griesbach

Bring your sleds, bring the family and meet at the Griesbach Hill on New Year’s Day! Free hot beverages. Co-hosted by Chris Gagnon + YEGPro Realty.

New Year’s Day Fireworks and Sleigh Rides

Sleigh Rides & firepits begin at 3, although sometimes even a tad earlier. Sleigh rides shut down at 5 PM sharp (because the horses need to get home before the fireworks begin), and fireworks begin at about 5:15, and end around 5:30.

Strathearn New Year’s Day Skate

Please join us on Wednesday, Jan. 1st, 2020 starting at 12 noon to ring in the new year with friends and neighbours new and old! It will be an afternoon of free food (chili and cornbread), fire, music, games, hot chocolate and marshmallows, and of course, skating! All welcome.

New Year’s Day at Strathcona Wilderness Centre 

Dress warmly, bring a mug and head to the Strathcona Wilderness Centre for a day of winter fun! Enjoy a blazing campfire, hot chocolate, and tasty treats for the whole family.

Activities include:

  • Snowshoeing and Cross-country skiing
  • Toonie Ski Lessons (1:30 p.m. or 3 p.m.)
  • Toonie Snowshoe Ramble (2 p.m.)
