Dinosaurs Unearthed

Road Trip: You Can See Animatronic Dinosaurs at the Dino Museum in Alberta Museum

It’s coming to Spring and that means that families just like ours are getting ready for road trips, adventures and warmer weather. Through the spring months, we’re going to be sharing some of our favourite road trip destinations, stops and itineraries with you to make getting out there and adventuring this summer, easier than ever.

Dinosaurs Unearthed at Philip J. Currie Museum

Dinosaurs Unearthed! Experience the dinosaurs’ world like never before as you watch dinosaurs come alive as life-sized animatronics of Protoceratops, Deinonychus, and the iconic Tyrannosaurus rex. Learn about the fascinating advances in science that have allowed palaeontologists to reconstruct how these animals lived and breathed.

With life-like displays, a dig pit for the little ones to get their hands dirty, and the latest research on these fascinating fossils, your next visit to the museum will be unforgettable. Come and enjoy your visit for the first time, or immerse yourself again with this limited-time exhibit.

How much does it cost to visit the museum? Adult admission is $14, child admission is $7 and children five and under are free.

How far away is it the road trip from Edmonton? At over four hours from Edmonton, it’s a bit of a road trip trek, but it’s perfect for those vacations you’re going to plan this year to Northern Alberta, or British Columbia.
