Six Things to do the Lego Store in January

The Lego Store in Edmonton is one of our go to places when we’re shopping at Southgate Mall. It gives the kids a few moments to run free, checking out the new displays and building at the kids tables set up, and it gives me a few moments to check over the shopping list or quickly answer a couple of emails that I missed while we were on the go.

Every month, there are new and fun events in-store, so here’s what’s going on in January at the Lego store, in Edmonton:

Technic Tuesdays (January 17 and 24)
Here’s your chance to build with Technic brick or race prebuilt vehicles against your friends or a Brick Specialist. Technic is a more advanced building experience and is recommended for ages 8+.

Minifigure Swap Monday (Mondays)
Now you can participate in a LEGO® Minifigure Swap day any Monday! Bring in a Minifigure of your own or visit the Build a Minifigure station to create and buy new ones. Then, you’ll get to meet up with other fans and trade for new Minifigures! It’s a fun and easy way to switch up your collection. Open to kids ages 6-14 only.

LEGO Life Meeting (January 21 and 28)
Join us for the very first LEGO® Life Meetings! You’ll be able to meet other LEGO Life users, share your building skills, build the January mini model and learn more about LEGO Life, a new app for LEGO kids like you that will be available soon. This exclusive event has limited space, so please sign up early! Registration is $10 per child and must be completed in the store. Open to children 6 – 14 only. Registration begins January 1.

Where is Batman? (January 2 to February 26)
Come to the LEGO® Store and find Batman in all his different Batsuits throughout the store. Can you find them all? Open to children ages 6-14

Come help Batman save Gotham City ™ by building the city skyline of your dreams! Open to children ages 6-14.

Free Monthly Lego Mini Build
Register for the free monthly Lego mini build, online, and head into your local store, once a month to take part in the creation. You get to bring it home, and there’s a new build to add to your collection, every month.

Find the Lego Store at Southgate, 5015-111; Street Northwest.
