If you struggle with recurrent yeast infections, there are other things that you could try, such as:

  • Increasing your probiotics intake – this can be done either by increasing the consumption of yogurt or other probiotic-rich foods or by taking a probiotic dietary supplement. This will bring back to normal the good bacteria levels of your body. You can prevent BV with these daily probiotics
  • Try boric acid suppositories – scientists have proven that these capsules are incredibly effective for treating recurring yeast infections. They are also off-the-counter, which means you do not need a prescription to buy them!
  • For restoring the vaginal environment’s natural level of pH, studies have shown that taking vitamin C supplements is super effective in the long run. Why not try it?

Try going for cotton underwear next time you are out shopping!

A dryer can be helpful

External yeast infections are a real headache! We found out that drying the external sensitive area with a dryer on a cool setting will help with managing the moisture. It is really helpful and it feels good, especially on those hot summer days!

Showering after intercourse is mandatory!

Never forget to urinate after having intercourse and try to shower every time after having sex. Studies have shown that using a condom reduces the risk of infection, but even after having protected sex, you should rinse the vaginal area with warm water and unscented soap!

There are more rules related to a healthy sex life that you should follow. To avoid infections, never have anal intercourse followed by vaginal intercourse. You are inviting all the bacteria inside your temple.

Feminine hygiene products are optional

We have heard of vaginal sprays, wet wipes, scented pantyliners, gels, and all kinds of stuff to keep off weird odors, but guess what? Most of those products contain perfume and other irritants that are added to hide the natural odor of the vagina.

In reality, you do not need all those feminine products! All you need for a correct vaginal hygiene routine is warm water and unscented soap. Rinse the vaginal area without scrubbing it, and you should be just fine!
