Free Demo Dance Classes at the Little Gym
In each of our 1-hour classes, we focus on particular dance steps according to the curriculum & theme for that week. For thirty minutes of class the children are learning tap and ballet steps as well as experiencing creative movement associated with the curriculum. For the other thirty minutes they are working on gymnastics in the gym. This combination enables the children to build strength and balance while growing their dance skills

Winter Freeze Fest: Hockey Circus Show
Head over to Millennium Place for a fun show that’s part of the Winter Freeze Fest. This show is a family friendly tribute that combines acrobatics, juggling and circus stunts. There are multiple shows throughout the festival!

Christmas Bird Count
Find yourself at a loss when you hear the question… what kind of bird is that? Join us for family learning fun as we talk about common Edmonton birds and count them for the citizen science project: Christmas Bird Count. We’ll take a close look at bird artifacts, monitor bird feeders for the current residents, and make a simple bird feeder to bring home!

Bambini, in collaboration with Prana Yoga Studio, is hosting another community yoga session next month! This particular session is a Kid’s Yoga class and it’s intended for children 5-11 years old.

Join in on games, sports, crafts, music, drama and special events. A complete list of activities and special events are posted on the side of Green Shacks each week. Snowshoe and Stargaze at Elk Island Park 
Begin your experience with a short guided hike on snowshoes around the shore of Astotin Lake. Roam atop the snow like a snowshoe hare while stars twinkle overhead. As you march along, the welcoming crackling of a campfire eclipses the soft sounds of nature surrounding you. Grab some refreshments and gather around the fire. Gaze up and stare into the night sky full of stars. With a park interpreter as your guide, navigate the sky of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve; without the glow of city lights around you’ll see more than you knew existed.
