Gingerbread House Workshop at City Market
Join us for Christmas fun and merriment at City Market Downtown’s Gingerbread House Workshop! The workshop will be lead by Jon Avis – owner of Meat Street Pies and a baker with over 40 years of experience. Each gingerbread house kit will come with fresh baked, all-butter gingerbread, icing and a piping bag, a foil covered wooden board for your house to sit on, and a selection of delicious candies! You will also get $5 in City Market Bucks (per kit) to spend on local goodies at the farmers’ market after the workshop.

Kids Class: Make Your Own Gingerbread House
Creative kids will take their gingerbread game to the next level as they learn to make spicy gingerbread from scratch and construct a classic gingerbread house. Kids will get to use their baking, construction and decorating skills to create a gorgeous holiday centerpiece that the whole family will actually want to eat.

Winter Paint and Pony Ride 
A fun activity for children ages 5-12 at the Whitemud Equine Learning Centre! Children will enjoy a pony ride with the wonderful lesson horses before going to the classroom for an art lesson with Cathie Heslinga, a certified art teacher from Edmonton Public Schools. Art materials supplied. Children need to bring an over-sized shirt or apron for painting.
