What to do with Kids this Weekend in Edmonton 

Head to the Opening of the Aerial Park | May 20th
The opening of the Aerial Park is this weekend and it’s one of those things that you’re not going to want to miss this summer. Though it’s a bit of a splurge, it’s one of those must-do summer activities. There’s five levels of fun and excitement on the course, and there’s excitement on every level. From a camping trailer, to climbing across a kayak, this is the thrill of the summer.

Super Fun Scavenger Hunt | May 20th
Visit your local Chapters Indigo store on May 20 at 11am for a super fun Scavenger Hunt and to learn more about the IndigoKids Reading Journey! Make sure to check with your local store for programming activities.

Maydaze Carnival and Midway | All weekend Long
Come join us at the Wildrose Shows Midway there’s no better way to have fun than at a carnival! You’re invited to ride the rides at the midway and delight in the junk food goodness of fair food!

Watch Jurassic Park Outdoors | May 19th
Bring your friends and family to watch Jurassic Park, a movie night under the stars in support of Spark! Youth Camp! Seating will be set up on La Cite Francophone’s beautiful outdoor bowl on a first come first serve basis. Please feel free to bring a blanket to view the film from the hill!
Movie will be screened at sunset(930pm approx) Suggested $10 donation per person! Warm drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from Cafe Bicyclette. Purchase of popcorn and candy will go directly to supporting Spark! Youth Camp.

Celebration of Spring | May 22nd
Explore more than 35 relocated and restored structures including a burdei (sod house), a one-room and two-room school, grain elevator, blacksmith shop and three churches of Eastern Byzantine Rite. Take in one of Alberta’s largest Ukrainian dance extravaganzas featuring numerous dance groups of all ages from across Alberta. Meanwhile, in the historical village, families can visit with costumed role players and celebrate spring on the farm with a full day of authentic activities.

Opening of Woodlands Water Play Park | May 20th
It’s the opening of the spray park in St. Albert. With the warm weather forecasted for the weekend, it’s a great time to check out the spray park and traditional playground – a great way to cool off during the summer months.

Explore a New Playground | All weekend Long
Check out some of our favourite playgrounds in Edmonton and area, listed on our Youtube channel. Visit your local Cineplex Theatre on May 20th for a premiere of Storks. It’s an easy (and inexpensive) way to bring the kids to a movie, and Storks is a hilarious choice for the weekend.
