Watch ‘How to Train Your Dragon 3’ Outdoors
Join us for a evening of family entertainment at OCL’s annual Movie Night in the Park. We will be showing How to Train Your Dragon! Here’s what else you need to know: The cost is FREE for all OCL members. Non-members are welcome at a cost of $2 per person. No tickets.rsvp are needed, just drop-in. The movie will start at dusk. It is an outdoor event and you are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.

Led by Paths for People, the free 5-hour downtown event will feature activities including a bike parade, games and fitness classes plus food trucks, live music and more. Bring your friends. Take a Kids Yoga Class
Calling all little yogis! Join us as we welcome the morning with an exclusive event 1 hour prior to store opening! Certified kids yoga instructor, Sarah Byer, will guide us through a yoga and mindfulness sequence and teach meditation techniques using books and educational games. Perfect for kids aged 3-7! Take a Guided Nature Walk at MacTaggart Sanctuary 
The Whitemud Creek is an important corridor for wildlife in the River Valley and a major tributary of the North Saskatchewan River. It has the additional protection of a Conservation Easement which ensures its status as an important ecological space. On this guided walk you’ll learn about the flora and fauna of the Creek and Ravine, the role it plays in linking our water systems together and what challenges it currently faces. The Sanctuary is also home to Bee Hotels and is working to create bat box spaces.

Free Back to School Skate 
Grab your skates and come out to River Cree Sports for our annual FREE Back to School Skate Event, Sunday, August 25, between 1 pm and 3 pm. There will be complimentary ice cream, and a chance to win back to school gift cards! All ages are welcome, and an adult must accompany minors. Children also must bring their CSA-approved helmets, as well as skates – rentals are not available on site. Sticks and pucks are not allowed at this event
