Manning Village Block Party

Sustainable Food Edmonton has partnered with the City of Edmonton’s Root for Trees team to bring you this group edible tree planting excursion. With the help of the Root for Trees team, we will be planting edible trees in the Lynwood neighborhood to help diversify their selection of wild plants and trees.

Celebration Church will be hosting a very special Outdoor Movie Night! Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy a beautiful summer night as we watch movies under the stars. The North Saskatchewan River connects us all. The best way to appreciate it is by getting on it! The River Valley Alliance invites you to celebrate the river valley park system and our river at EPCOR RiverFest August 10, 2019. U Pick Strawberries at Prairie Gardens
Pick Your Own Strawberries at Prairie Gardens! This is the first day we are open for the season which will run from mid July to mid August! It will be a bit like hunting for Easter eggs today – with better picking to come later in the month. There are still blossoms and many, many green berries! Picking days are Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the ripe strawberries last! $5 entry fee includes wagon ride to the patch and 4 L buckets to pick into. You pay for what you pick for the strawberries ($20/4L).

Fire Station Open House
Community residents will have the opportunity to meet the firefighters and fire prevention officers in their community, check out the fire trucks and learn important fire safety information in order to ensure their families are fire safe. EFRS hopes to ensure that children are not afraid of firefighters. It is important for all ages to understand potential fire hazards in the home.
