Explore the Christmas Market 

Presenting a first-of-its-kind holiday festival in the heart of downtown Edmonton presented by ATB Place! The Edmonton Christmas Market will feature live entertainment, captivating light installations, a winter carnival, an indoor local marketplace, outdoor market huts, Santa’s Knotty Pine Village, family-friendly beverage gardens, festive decor, tasty treats and a whole lot of holiday cheer at ATB Place (10025 Jasper Avenue) with some of the best River Valley views ! ✨ Thursdays and Fridays will run from 3:00-8:00PM and Saturdays 12:00-6:00PM! Admission for children under 4 are free, 4-17 year olds are $3 across the board, and adults 18+ Thursday-Saturdays are $5. PLUS on Thursdays and Fridays (ONLY) between 3-4PM admission is free with a food bank donation!

Family Movie Night: The Grinch 

Join your neighbours the 3rd Friday of every month for Movie Night! Come by the Large Hall on December 20th to watch a new holiday classic, The Grinch (2018) (Run Time 1h 32min PG). Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Movie plays at 6:30 p.m. Cost: $5 per family Snacks? Admission includes a bag of popcorn, but you’re welcome to bring your own goodies, too! We’ll also have pop and juice on hand for a nominal charge.

Yule Ave Christmas

Take in the Yule: Have A Blast Christmas Concert, the lighting of the Giving Tree, Santa’s Horse and Wagon Ride, Antler Dancing and so much more!

Snowshoe and Stargaze at Elk Island Park 

Begin your experience with a short guided hike on snowshoes around the shore of Astotin Lake. Roam atop the snow like a snowshoe hare while stars twinkle overhead. As you march along, the welcoming crackling of a campfire eclipses the soft sounds of nature surrounding you.

Grab some refreshments and gather around the fire. Gaze up and stare into the night sky full of stars. With a park interpreter as your guide, navigate the sky of the Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve; without the glow of city lights around you’ll see more than you knew existed.

Breakfast with Santa at Varscona 

Join us for a last-minute visit from Santa, jam-packed with entertainment and a delicious holiday spread! Santa and his friends will be making an appearance, we’ll be playing some reindeer games, and singing some holiday favourites.

Drive Through Castrol Raceway Magic of Lights

Open each evening throughout the Holiday Season 5PM-10PM The Canadian Tire Magic of Lights at Castrol Raceway is 2 kilometers of festive and vibrant LED-lighted displays celebrating the joy of the holidays. A “drive-through” experience from the comfort of your own car. At every turn, and in every direction, the magical route is overflowing with spectacular light displays and animations. Multiple holiday themes come to life with hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights! Featuring Horse “Power” Hayrides and the *NEW* Illumination Lane Out of Car Experience on weekends and Select evenings.

Get into the Holiday spirit with these fun and festive activities from December 21 through January 5, 2020! There’s fun in the CuriosCity, Jingle Smells, Candy Cane Building and Storytime to celebrate Winter.

FREE Family Skate with Santa at River Cree 

River Cree Twin Rinks Annual FREE Family Christmas Skate, Sunday, December 22, 2019. Make some family memories with us. Stop in to skate, have milk & cookies,  and see Santa! Skate party starts at 1 pm till 3 pm. All ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult.  Skate rentals are not available on site, and children are required to bring their own helmets.

Christmas Caroling in Glastonbury 

Yes, we’re feeling the festive spirit! Join us on Sunday, December 22nd to sing all of your holiday favourites. We’ll meet at Glastonbury Park at 7 pm and sing until our hearts are content! The rink and ice trail will be ready by this date. Whether you come with your skates and enjoy the cozy ambiance created by our carolers or whether you and our loved ones want lend your voices, we hope you’ll join us!
