Zoominescence – lights at the Zoo

Edmonton, the most northern city in North America with a population of over one million, is a world-renowned winter metropolis with the proud title of Festival City. This December, Zoominescence, hosted by the Valley Zoo Development Society, will stage a spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations within the unique setting of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The festival’s vision is to celebrate light, artistry, imagination and the strong spirit of our community in the winter. Join us for an evening of light, animals, skating, hot chocolate and fun for the whole family! Running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus the 26th!

Light December Lights in Capilano 

Capilano Community’s “Light December Lights” Come Celebrate with Capilano Community Neighbours & Friends! A Friday evening with horse sleigh rides, Christmas treats, crafts, a family skate and much more! FREE to all Capilano Community families, all are welcome.

He’s makin’ a list, and checking it twice…but before he’s done, he’s going to be hanging out in our ‘hood for a bit! Santa will be roaming the neighbourhood on Saturday, December 7 between 12-4 pm. Keep an eye on our social channels (FB, Twitter, Instagram) to keep tabs on where he’s at. Psst – we also heard he might have some sweet treats from Rocket Fizz!

Tour Edmonton’s Little Italy and Church Street on our FREE Horse Drawn Carriage Tours! With stops at Gems like the Italian Centre Shop, Zocalo, Mint Health and Drugs, and Studio 96 (with hosts from the McCauley Community League). We’ve got blankets, hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts, and horses! You just bring you.

This weekend, Frozen 2 comes for the 4DX theatre, where the seats are like roller coasters and you’re in for a two hour ride with rain and snow and special affects that reign down on you through the movie. You’ll feel like you’re right up there, in the movie, in this one.
