Experience the Pokemon Go Craze | Legislature Grounds
Pokemon trainers of Edmonton have a chance to get together and spend the day having fun and catching Pokemon. Lures will be set up around the legislature. Be safe. Have fun.
When: Saturday, 10 am

Polynesian Days at Alberta Beach | Alberta Beach
Polynesian Days (Poly Days) is an annual family event that, for four decades, has continually drawn over 6,000 people every August long weekend to the community of Alberta Beach.
A main attraction of the event is the Alberta Beach Music Festival, which is located in Gazebo Park and runs all afternoon and evening on the Saturday after the parade. The Kids Area is located in the new Boat Launch Park and will have face painters, balloon artists, and inflatable bounce houses and slides.
When: All weekend long

Try Something new at Heritage Days | Hawrelak Park
Edmonton’s 41st annual Servus Heritage Festival is right around the corner! This wonderful three day event in Edmonton’s Hawrelak Park is an opportunity to sample delicious ethnic food, see creative performances, shop for crafts and clothing, and learn a little bit more about the more than 60 countries that are represented.
When: Saturday to Monday

See a $2.99 Movie | Cineplex Theaters
The last time we took three kids to the movies it was almost $80. Make this outing a little more budget friendly and bring the kids to the Cineplex Family Favourites, $2.99 movies on Saturday mornings. This week, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is playing – a great chance to introduce your kids to a classic.
When: Saturday, 11 am

Party in Legacy Park | Fort Saskatchewan
Free Community Event sponsored by Life Church Fort Saskatchewan. Open to everyone. There will be bouncy castles, petting zoo, pony rides, clown, carnival games, prizes, and more… free fun for the entire family. Want to come for lunch? Hot dogs will be available for a donation to Families First.
When: Saturday, 11-3

Fairy Berry Festival | Prairie Gardens
Sprinkle a bit of magic and whimsy into this corn maze adventure to the farm! Fairies, pirates, home made berry shortcake, folk music, and maze adventures in the Mindbender and Kidz Corn Mazes are all part of the family fun! The “Fairy Berries” are the most exquisite of the strawberry season – small, dainty and delicious! Come help us celebrate this sweet fairy-tale bumble-berry and pirate’s treasure of a Kids Festival all long weekend.

Rent a Canoe at Elk Island Park | Lake Astotin
Did you know that you can rent a canoe or kayaks at Elk Island Park? Head on out to the park (pass required, but you can get this at the park gate) and enjoy a canoe or kayak experience, where you can rent them right at the park.
When: all weekend long
