What to do in Edmonton this Weekend (with Kids) | March 10-12

From the first Maple Syrup festival, to fun drop in activities for the kids, we’re sharing everything to do in Edmonton and area, this weekend. Here are some of the fun things going on in Edmonton for kids –

Maple Syrup Festival | Fort Edmonton Park
For the first time this year, the Edmonton Chapter of the French Canadian Association of Alberta is very proud to invite you to celebrate the 68th edition of their popular Maple Sugar Carnaval at Fort Edmonton Park.

Make a Fairy House | Michaels Stores
They make; you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy making a painted fairy house. Sign up in-store or just drop in. $2 per project, supplies included. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.

Mom Pop and Tots Fair | Edmonton Expo Centre
A fair for parents to get informed on topics like education, local attractions, and healthy living. While parents are learning about community connections, and making connections with other parents, kids can see some very special guests live onstage – Thomas & Friends! For more kid-friendly fun, kids can become a farmer or a cowpoke at the Thistle Hill Farms Petting Zoo & Pony Rides.

Science Fun Day | University of Alberta
Science FUNday is a FREE annual science exhibition featuring over 75 interactive demonstrations, presentations, and tours. They range from chemistry, physics, physiology, botany, computing sciences, math, and much more. Lots of hands-on, interactive activities—make your own LED bookmark, extract DNA from strawberries, make cube satellites, play a banana piano and even build your own harmonica!
