Frozen 2 Arrives in Theatres

Bring the kids to the movie this season to see the instant-classic, Frozen 2. You can head out to the movies on Sunday for the Landmark Cinemas kids day, or try and get tickets for Friday Night! You could even meet the frozen characters, at Cineplex, here. 

The Snowflake Festival 

As we light up the Perron District with the warm glow of Christmas lights, you and your family can admire the live classic Christmas movies, take a ride in the horse drawn wagon, mingle at the petting zoo, decorate cookies, ride on the Snowflake Express, and soak in other unique entertainment and displays in this winter wonderland. Santa and his elves will be waiting in Santa’s Village to greet the children of our community and spread Christmas cheer.

ENJOY Light Festival Opening

The Enjoy Centre invites you to Alberta’s newest holiday celebration! Between November 21st and January 5th, the Enjoy Light Festival, or ELF, offers all kinds of wintery fun, such as an interactive lights garden, festive market, photos with Santa, local performers, a whimsical light tunnel and your favorite YEG food vendors to create an unforgettable experience!

Canadian Tire Magic of Lights Opening

Open each evening throughout the Holiday Season 5PM-10PM The Canadian Tire Magic of Lights at Castrol Raceway is 2 kilometers of festive and vibrant LED-lighted displays celebrating the joy of the holidays. A “drive-through” experience from the comfort of your own car. At every turn, and in every direction, the magical route is overflowing with spectacular light displays and animations. Multiple holiday themes come to life with hundreds of thousands of sparkling lights! Featuring Horse “Power” Hayrides and the *NEW* Illumination Lane Out of Car Experience on weekends and Select evenings.

Make a Homemade Gingerbread House 

Join us for a fun-filled day of gingerbread house building, live music, holiday photo booth, refreshments, door prizes and the company of your fabulous neighbours. **new addition this year – PHOTOS WITH THE GRINCH between 2-3pm! Time: 1-4pm Location: Avonmore School Gym. Cost: $25 per kit. Kits include: locally baked delicious gingerbread house pieces, icing, nut-free candy for decorating. Feel free to bring additional candy if you wish.

Make and Take LEGO Frozen Castle 

Make-and-Take a LEGO® Frozen II Arendelle Castle. On Saturday, Nov 23, 2019. It’s SO cool: the first 150 kids in each store will receive a FREE LEGO® Frozen II Arendelle Castle kit to make and take home! There is a Limit one make and take per child.

Christmas in November

On November 23rd from 12 – 4 pm, showhomes in Webber Greens will be hosting a FREE holiday-themed event. Bring your little ones for photos with Santa, enjoy specialty coffees, take part in some cookie-decorating, and explore our beautiful showhomes!

Get Outside for the Fall Greenshack in Larkspur

The leader will engage children aged 6-12 (children under the age of 6 are welcome but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times) in cooperative games, outdoor cooking, sports, crafts, music, theatre, nature and imaginative play.

Fort Saskatchewan Santa Claus Parade 

The 27th Annual Santa Claus Parade will be November 23rd in Downtown Fort Saskatchewan. The parade gets underway at 11 a.m. from the corner of 99th Avenue and 108th Street. Following the same route as previous years, it will travel down 99th Avenue, turning right on 102nd Street and right again on 100th Avenue before returning to 106th Street.

Santa Parade at Mill Woods Town Centre 

On Saturday November 23rd at 11:30 am, come and watch Santa and his friends PJ MASKS heroes marching in the parade. After the parade, there will be a PJ Masks Meet and Greet station, live performances from local cultural groups; and you can Enter to Win at the stage for awesome prizes.

Little Kids: We Dig Dinos

Discover dinosaurs through sensory play! In this hands-on program, we will discover the world of dinosaurs through activities that engage the senses and inspire learning. Dig for dino fossils, sort meat eaters from plant eaters and get a hands on fossil experience. What a roaring great time!

Peter & The Wolf at the Symphony 

Peter and the Wolf tells the story of a wonderful tale of a little boy outsmarting the enemy to save a friend based on Sergei Prokofiev’s symphony.
