What to do in Edmonton This Weekend (With Kids) | May 26-28

It’s going to be over 20 degrees this weekend, and that means it’s Spray Park weather. Rainmaker Rodeo | All Weekend
Join the 53rd Annual Rainmaker Rodeo! Visit  the fair grounds and Family entertainment including petting zoo, dog show and return of the very popular Lumberjack Show. Market Place with some ‘one of a kind’ vendors.

Watch Moana Outdoors | Saturday, 7:30
For the second year in a row we will be kicking off spring with a movie night in Doug Kelly Park. The movie will be announced soon, but definitely will be family friendly. Admission is free for GCL members, and minimal charge for families who aren’t members.

Spring Fling in Beaumont | Sunday, 12
Discover the community of Ruisseau and welcome spring by finding your new home! Watch as the kids experience a petting zoo, Pack the family in the photo booth, First 100 people will receive a mini succulent. Enjoy a burger or hotdog from The Hop food truck

Medieval May | Saturday, 11-4
Knights of the Northern Realm present their 7th annual Medieval May at King Edward Hall (7708 – 85 Street NW) in partnership with the King Edward Community League and the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues.

See a $2.99 Movie | Saturday, 11 am
Watch Trolls with the family, again, because if you’ve got children – you’ve probably seen it before. This time around, watch it for only $2.99/person as part of the Cineplex Family Favourites, on the big screen.

Malmo Spring Carnival | Saturday, 12-2
Come to the Malmo Plains Community Hall for food, fun and friends. The Hop Food Truck will be on site!
There will be carnival activities, face painting, bouncy castle, raffle draws and more!

Visit the Aerial Park | All weekend
The Snow Valley Aerial park is open and it’s the perfect time to head out to explore. You can see our review, and get tips to save on the experience, while you’re there, right here.

Rent a Canoe | All weekend
Head out on a kayak or canoe on Astotin Lake, with Haskin Canoe. Making the drive to Elk Island Park is worth it because it’s free to go, as park passes are complimentary this year, and you can rent a canoe or kayak on the lake and get out on the water, with kids. It’s going to be a great weekend for it!

Everybody Gets to Play Spring Play Day | Saturday, 11
Join us for our first FREE Play Day of the year at the Emerald Hills Sportfield. Enjoy free family activities including Celebrate Canada 150 Photobooth, yoga for kids, edible art, bubble soccer, Gallery @501 Art Zone, life sized angry birds, gardending with Strathcona County Utilities, and fun activities with Sportball and Parentlink. There will also be FREE hot dogs for the first 500 people provided by The Investors Group
