What to do This Weekend in Edmonton (With Kids) May 13-15

From a pajama party, to getting outside and having a family yoga session at the spray park, there’s lots to do this weekend in Edmonton.

Imax Pajama PartyThere’s a pajama party at Telus World of Science and you’re going to want to come early. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to change out of your Pajamas to sit down and watch Shrek with early morning snacks. When you’re finished watching the movie, you can browse through the installations or hang out in the science garage.

Bike Rodeo and BBQA free family BBQ, the chance to have your bike inspected by Mud, Sweat and Gears or make sure that your child’s helmet is a proper fit is only a few of the things you’re going to be able to experience at the bike rodeo in Sherwood Park this weekend. Also there, you can take part in a bike obstacle course, and bounce in a bouncy castle.

Yoga at the Spray ParkWhat’s better than family yoga classed outdoors? Free yoga classes that take place nice and close to the spray park, so you can cool off when you’re finished. Head out to Fort Saskatchewan, check out the class and cool off in the spray park.

Mall Parking Lot Carnival
Head out to St. Albert Centre where you’ll find one of those infamous mall parking lots this weekend. Though it’s pricey, those faces on the rides the first time they go up on the kid roller coaster are worth the splurge.

T-Rex Tea Party | Come snack on traditional tea party fare, while you check out one of the coolest parks in Edmonton and area, the Dinosaur park. The Leduc park features a zipline, and a fun dinosaur theme and during this event you can come for the family fun, free food and check out a few homes in the community.

Jr. Chef Class – Tacos 
Kids can register for these fun demonstration classes at Williams Sonoma, where they can learn something new every class. This week, it’s tacos. To register for the class, and get kids interested in food and the kitchen, contact your local store.

Try a Ballet ClassThe first open house of the Alberta School of Ballet is going to provide you with a sneak peek of the brand new location, with ballet classes and demonstrations for kids (age groups separated) – so bring something comfortable for the kids to wear while they take part.

Nature Kids Club | Join us out at the Beaverhill Bird Observatory this Saturday, May 14th to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day! There will be games and activities but best of all, you’ll have the chance to see live bird banding in action!! Directions out to the Beaverhill Bird Observatory can be found below.
