Where to go for Free Admission Day in Edmonton 

Edmonton Valley Zoo | Visit the Edmonton Valley Zoo all day long to get free admission for the entire family. Enjoy a magic show, music in the plaza, the adventure bus and an arctic touch table throughout the day.

Fort Edmonton Park | Fort Edmonton Park is one of those places that has become quite expensive for families to visit (making the annual pass worthwhile for families that visit regularly), visiting on free admission day is a great way to save money in the family budget.

John Janzen Nature Centre | One of our top five indoor playgrounds in the city, John Janzen Centre is taking part in Free Admission Day in Edmonton, giving you the chance to explore the cool children’s area, with interpretive displays and indoor playground. In addition, there will be family activities like bubbles, puppet shows (1 pm and 3 pm) and outdoor activities for kids.

Clareview Rec Centre | In addition to free admission, there will be family fun activities throughout the day at Clareview Rec Centre to celebrate. At 10:45, there’s a family Zumba party you’re not going to want to miss, or the free family yoga class.

Commonwealth Rec Center | Visit for the free admission, there will be bouncy castles between 1:30 and 5 pm, face painting, balloons, children’s activities and a meet and greet with Edmonton Eskimos.

Jasper Place Rec Centre | Celebrate Edmonton’s free admission day with a Pirate Party at Jasper Place. There’s a treasure hunt in the pool (1 pm) and special pool games throughout the day.

St. Francis Xavier Rec Centre | Get free admission for Edmonton’s free admission day and try out a different variety of sports just in time for winter registration, throughout the day.

The Meadows Rec Centre | Get free admission to the Meadows and enjoy the selection of food trucks on site. There will be free drop-in classes throughout the day, and the chance for the kids to enjoy the indoor playground.
