25 Family Friendly Things to do in Edmonton in May

May – can you believe it’s here already? Before we know it, it’s going to be summer and it’s going to be spray park and ice cream weather. Here are some of our top things to do with the kids in Edmonton, in May.

1. Check out the Kidzone at Callingwood Farmer’s Market, for bounce castles, petting zoo and special events at the Farmer’s Market.

2. Get ready in the park (on May 7). It’s a big event about emergency preparedness and kids always leave with something new learned, some swag, and after a day full of fun.

3. Sleepover in a Gym. Every couple of months, there is a fun sleepover at one of the local Gymnastics clubs, and kids can spend the night out on the floor.

4. Go Medieval at Medieval Day – Knights, armour – and so much fun for kids, including demonstrations.

5. Spend the day frolicking with butterflies at Devonian Garden’s butterfly day

6. Celebrate May the 4th with Light Saber lessons on the Square

7. Attend a Fire Station open house and meet your local Firefighters, check out the facility and take a tour.

8. Eat delicious food at the first night of What the Truck?! and check out some delicious new flavours, it’s an easy way to get out of making dinner.

9. Get out of town for the day and walk or bike through Elk Island park.

10. Get Bike safe aware at the Fort Saskatchewan Bike Rodeo
