Learn the skills to become active on the ice. Our program is designed around basic skills, movement,participation and fun! You can expect skills for speed, agility and control. All of which will give you the skills for other types of skating This program is targeted for children 6-12 and their families, however, all are welcome to attend! Skates and a CSA approved helmet are required to participate.

Join us for the first ever Lunar Night Market hosted by the Edmonton Viets Association in celebration of the 2019 Lunar New Year at the Shaw Conference Centre on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am. STEM Saturdays at the Microsoft Store
Build a joystick to survey how sharks swim. Use the very latest technology to survey sharks at this month’s free STEM Saturday workshop. Participants build a sensorized joystick using cardboard and copper tape and use it to view 3-D rotations of digital shark models. Using a microcontroller, participants will connect the joystick to Excel so they can gather real-time data on the shark’s movement while driving it through a virtual marine environment.

Total Lunar Eclipse at Telus World of Science
Have fun seeing the night sky at the outdoor RASC Observatory then enjoy indoor activities—all centered around Earth’s celestial companion. Activities include a 20-minute presentation on the geometry of the eclipse and what to expect showing in the Zeidler Dome. In the Command Centre in the S.P.A.C.E.
