Mo Willems is one of the favourite Illustrators in our home, bringing some of our favourite characters to life, like Gerald, Piggy, and of course, the Pigeon. Starting today, kids can join Mo for Lunch Doodles, where Mo welcomes kids into his virtual studio, guiding kids through drawing activities using his favourite characters as inspiration.
Episode One is titled Welcome to Mo’s Studio – and it’s live now!
With millions of learners attempting to grow and educate themselves in new circumstances, I have decided to invite everyone into my studio once a day for the next few weeks. Grab some paper and pencils, pens, or crayons. We are going to doodle together and explore ways of writing and making.
Mo says “You might be isolated, but you’re not alone. You are an art maker. Let’s make some together. I’ll see you at 1pm ET (11 am local time) on weekdays for LUNCH DOODLES and I hope you’ll keep making art even after my visit.”
The best part? Kids can revisit the videos again and again to find even more inspiration, and catch a daily video every weekday.
