Scholastic Has Free Daily Courses for Kids Affected by School Closures

Scholastic is just one of the many companies offering prints the opportunity to keep their children learning (and busy) during school closures. The Learn from Home website has four categories available for parents, and three hour blocks of lessons.

Each section has the first week of content already created, and there are additional fifteen days being released, for a total of twenty-one days of supplemental instruction.

The work can be completed from any device, and each lesson plans for an average of three-hour of engagement. The content includes articles, stories, videos, learning challenges and even virtual field trips.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose the grade level of the child you’re working with. There are four options available: PreK and kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2, Grades 3-5 and Grades 6+.
  2. Start on Day 1, at your desired level
  3. Learn, enjoy and be entertained, throughout the school closures
