Bannerman Movie in the Park 
We welcome Edmonton Public Library and Weasel Tale Digital Storytelling during this hour to demonstrate their involvement with the production of our previews Previews start: 8PM, featuring digital stories from new Canadian students at JD Bracco Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to watch a movie under the stars with an outdoor screening of Up! Family friendly for all ages. The space will accommodate 250 guests and will be open on a first come, first served basis.


Grand Trunk Community Fun Day 
Join us at Grand Trunk Field, behind Grand Trunk Rec Centre, for our Annual Ward 2 Fun Day! Come celebrate our wonderful community at this free family friendly event! There will be food, face painting and many other great activities. Stay tuned to hear more!

Cardio for a Cause
Join the Marketplace at Callingwood to help support Edmonton’s Food Bank with Cardio for a Cause! On September 7, 2019 from 11am-1pm Cardio For a Cause is a fun community fitness event that is taking place in the covered courtyard of the shopping centre! 6655-178 Street. Take part in a fun, energizing ‘cardio-fusion’ class led by local fitness instructors from Generate Fitness! The class will run for 1-hour starting at 11am. All ages and fitness levels welcome. Come enjoy some lively music, body positivity and a great workout, all in support of Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Outdoor Movie Night in Capilano
Movie night is coming to Capilano! See the stars under the stars! This might just be your last chance to experience a movie under the stars for the season – so it’s the perfect reason to stay up late! 

Griesbach Party in the park with Fireworks 
Meet your neighbours and enjoy food trucks, a beer garden, live music, bouncy castles, face painting and much more. Original playground refurbishment celebration @ 1 p.m. Activities, music and beer garden from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Fireworks @ dusk.

End of Summer Carnival at NOW Radio
Come on down to this fun and child-friendly event to celebrate the end of Summer and kick off to the school year! We’ll have bouncy castles, treats, a food truck, popsicles (of course), station tours and more!

Dream Day 2019 
Join us Saturday, September 7, from Noon To 4:00 pm in Maple Crest for Dream Development’s DREAM DAY celebrations. Glastonbury Family Fun Day 
Join the Glastonbury Community League on our annual Fall Family Fun Day! Petting Zoo, Bounce Houses, Hot Dog lunch, Ninja Warrior Course, games & more! Admission for GCL members is free with your 2019/20 family membership. Pre-purchase through our app now, to have speedy entry to the event! For Neighboring Community League members or non members admission is $15 per family (2 adults, 4 kids per family).

Festival in a Box 
Edmonton’s favourite summer arts event is back with a new name – Festival in a Box (formerly known as the Community Arts Picnics). Join the Edmonton Arts Council for a late summer afternoon full of art-making, giant games, live performances, and of course, summer snacks! The fun takes place on Saturday, September 7 at Clareview Community Recreation Centre – 8804 139 avenue from 1:00-4:00 pm. The event is free for the whole family to enjoy, and will go ahead rain or shine!

Harvest of the Past 
Celebrate Alberta’s agricultural roots with a traditional harvest at the Ukrainian Village. See the Village one last time and witness an old-fashioned threshing bee complete with vintage farm equipment and grain deliveries to the historic elevator. Other historical activities include flower and herb drying, feather stripping, making kapusta (sour cabbage), grinding wheat, quilting, and canning of produce from the museum’s gardens.

Mid Autumn Festival 
Edmontonians from all backgrounds are invited to welcome Autumn at the Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market with an Asian-style bazaar with colourful lanterns, folk music and performances, mooncakes, cultural games and activities, wandering costumed Chinese characters, and vendors from the Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market!

Manning Village Party in the Park 
Join us September 8th from Noon to 4pm at the Manning Village park for a Party in the Park event! FOOD + FAMILY FUN + DOG FRIENDLY Petting Zoo, Bouncy Castles, Face Painter, Balloon Artist, Mini Donuts, Popcorn, Dog Treats AND Dog Demos & Agility Show.
