You Can Sign Your Kids up for Swimming Lessons at WEM World Waterpark

As parents, one of the most important things to us is to develop a sense of water safety with our children. From vacations poolside and oceanside, to outings on a week night to the local recreation centre, it’s been important for us to introduce our kids to the water as young as possible.

Part of that introduction is swimming lessons – so we’re always staying up to date on the latest options for swimming lessons in Edmonton, and the latest option is Swim Club at World Waterpark inside West Edmonton Mall.

For our kids, World Waterpark means fun – I mean, who doesn’t love waves and waterslides? Newly launched this fall, the Swim Club is bringing swimming lessons to the pool on Wednesday evenings, for children of all ages.

There are four levels available as part of the Swim Club. We love the fact that classes are kept small and taught by professional certified swim instructors. This ensures that the swimmers reach their targeted Water Smart, cognitive, muscle development and fitness goals.

Lifesaving Society programs offered within World Waterpark Swim Club:

  • Swim for Life program: Parents & Tot, Preschool, Swimmer, Adult and Fitness Swimmer
  • Swim Patrol program: Rookie Patrol, Ranger Patrol, and Star Patrol
  • Bronze Awards program: Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, and Bronze Cross
  • National Lifeguard: Pool and Waterpark options
  • Leadership Instructor: SI, LSI, EPI, FAI, and NLI option

Winter registration is right around the corner. To register your kids in the World Waterpark Swim Club, you can visit wem.ca/swimclub and use the convenient, online registration system.
