Do This: Family Fun at Callingwood Cornfest on 9/10

On September 10th visit the Marketplace at Callingwood for the event to end the summer season, Callingwood Cornfest. It’s the perfect time to spend a Saturday afternoon with the family, having fun – and giving back to the community.

This year, the festival will benefit the Edmonton Firefighter’s Burn Treatment Society, a charity that treats upwards of 200 patients each year, including children and Firefighters, in Edmonton and area.

This year, there’s lots to do, see – and eat. Here are a few of the things you’re going to want to experience at Cornfest:

Family Fun Events at Callingwood Cornfest

Corn | Come for the corn. It’s the perfect opportunity to skip making lunch and have delicious corn on the cob from the market. The fresh, hot buttered taber corn from Tanner Farms is by donation.

Inflatables and Petting Zoo | Children’s activities and family fun is, from the petting zoo and inflatables, to pony rides. It’s the perfect opportunity to get out in the community and have fun on a Saturday afternoon.

Firetruck Tours | Firetruck tours with Edmonton firefighters, means kids can climb in and on Firetrucks and experience being a ‘real life firefighters’ as part of the festivities.

Food | In addition to the delicious, fresh buttered corn there are hot dogs, snacks and other refreshments available. Come at lunch time and have lunch on the go, in between the fun activities.
