Edmonton Area Pumpkin Patch & U Pick Pumpkin Farms

It’s that time of year when we’re fully embracing fall, and the cooler weather. Families have harvest and Halloween on their minds, and are beginning to make the trip to the local Edmonton pumpkin patches to bring home a pumpkin of their own.

Somerset Pumpkin Farm

There are 20+ types of pumpkins to pick at Somerset U-pick Pumpkin Farm, in Stony Plain near Edmonton. With pumpkins starting at three dollars, and so many varieties of pumpkins, it’s worth the trip! The farm is open during the first week of September, until the first frost.
Hours: Weekends, 10 am to 6 pm and Tuesdays to Thursdays, 3:30 pm to 6 pm

Prairie Gardens

The Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens Adventure Farm, attracts families from across the nation to Edmonton’s countryside every fall! An autumn outing to the pumpkin patch and this charming month-long Halloween festival is an annual tradition. There’s been over 1 million guests to the farm have enjoyed the farm since 1956!

Kraay Family Farm

This family farm has a giant corn maze and is open through Oct. 19. It is one of the largest corn mazes in North America and has a pumpkin patch with tons of pumpkin-related activities such as pumpkin blasters, which allows guests to shoot pumpkins out of cannons. (Lacombe area)
