Camp Warwa Family Day Camp
Families are invited to join us for an unforgettable experience enjoying adventures with their children at Family Camp! If you’re a child that loves camp, or a parent who loves adventuring with your child, these programs are for you. These family programs have become a popular tradition at Camp Warwa and we are excited to welcome you and your family.
Our Winter Family Day Camp will get started at 10:00am and wrap up by about 3pm.
Family Day at Servus Place
Join us on Monday, February 17 at Servus Place as we celebrate Family Day with plenty of fun, recreational activities for you and your loved ones to enjoy – including a special family public skate that you are not going to want to miss! In addition to our regular drop-in programs (bit.ly/37LgT9m) happening that day, we will also have: • Family Soccer (1-3 pm in the Sarasota Field House) • Extended Parent and Tot (9:30 am-12:30 pm on Gym Court 3) • Bouncy Inflatables (11 am-12:30 pm on Gym Court 2) • “Iced” Family Skate (11:15 am-12:45 pm in Go Auto Arena) “Iced” Family Skate Do you want to build some memories? Family Day at Strathcona Wilderness Centre
Dress warmly, bring a mug and head to the Strathcona Wilderness Centre for a day of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing winter fun! Enjoy a blazing campfire, hot chocolate and tasty treats for the whole family. from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Equipment rental and trail fees apply.

- Toonie Ski Lesson (1:30 p.m. or 3 p.m.)
- Toonie Show Shoe Ramble (2 p.m.)
- Proceeds from Toonie Lessons go to the Strathcona Food Bank.
Family Day Sleigh Rides & More
Join us for sleigh rides, skating, snowshoeing, milk jug curling, creating our WINTERSCAPE, indoor giant JENGA and a huge floor piano! We will be roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, in addition to having popcorn, french fries, tater tots, churros, cookies and bannock available. (Bannock only from 12-2pm). Elmwood Community League Members – $10/family up to 5 people, $1/additional person.
Family Game Day at Londonderry
Come out to Londonderry mall and join us for a day of indoor family fun. Visit our all our various game stations scattered throughout the mall, compete, play with your family and win the grand prize! ARE YOU READY!? TIME TO GAME ON, PLAY FAIR AND HAVE FUN!
Family Day at the Legislature
Celebrate 30 years of Family Day in Alberta in the place where it all started, the Alberta Legislature. Find history around every corner as you explore the Alberta Legislature Building open house. Enjoy musical and magical entertainment by world-class performers, including CBC Kids’ star Will’s Jams! Try out some crafts, games and LEGO® activities. Visit the Legislative Assembly Visitor Centre, where you’ll find free exhibitions and educational activities, including special screenings of Edmonton International Film Festival Family Shorts and storytime with Rocky the Ram. A variety of food vendors will also be on-site.
Free Admission to Elk Island Park
Bring the whole family to Elk Island National Park and enjoy all things winter this Family Day long weekend! Strap on skates and glide around Astotin Lake*, rent snowshoes and stomp over snow drifts, or stop by the Astotin Theatre and dress-up as a wild animal. Activities will take place between noon and four pm.
Family Day Nerf and Pancakes

This Family Day go beyond the books and visit an EPL branch for drop-in games, classes and activities, and your chance to win a Cineplex Family Prize Pack. Have a free and fun-filled Family Day with EPL!
Family Day Free Skate at River Cree
River Cree Sports – RCS FREE Family Day Skate event! All ages welcome, however, you must have own skates and helmet. *Minors must be accompanied by parent/guardian/adult. Sop in between 1pm and 3pm, there will be free cookies and juice. Come make Family Day memories on our ice!
Family Day Bubble Party
Drop-in activities from 1-4:30 and Bubblicious at 2:00. Square bubbles, triangular bubbles, bubbles within bubbles, bubble mania is here! This class will be an amazing blend of learning and doing with everyone’s favourite tool: Bubbles! There is also a contest to win one of four Family Movie Packs, but you have to come to the library to enter.
Family Day at the Reuse Centre
Celebrate Family Day at the Reuse Centre! Enjoy free family-friendly drop-in activities & treats: DIY wind chimes and wind socks, glitter tattoos from The Balloon Fairies, custom envelope-making from the Edmonton Calligraphic Society, Change for Climate and Waste Services information booths, gift basket draws and more! Family Day Fresh Air in Devon
We will be hosting several great winter activities including: cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, scavenger hunt, campfires, giant games, bannock making, tipi set up and Indigenous story telling, refreshments, wildlife walks, and more. Everything will be supplied for all our activities so all you need to do is come on down between 1 and 3 pm!
Family Day Winter Green Shack Drop In
Get active this winter and learn to kicksled, snowshoe, cook outdoors and so much more! This program is targeted for children aged 6-12, but all children accompanied by an adult are welcome to attend.
Road Trip: Free Admission to Royal Tyrell Museum
Feed your curiosity from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Journey through millions of years of history and see thousands of objects, from dinosaurs and mammoths to tiny insects and glowing gems. See how Alberta’s Indigenous communities share knowledge and values through generations, and meet the people who shaped our province. Plus, visit thousands of live critters and have fun in our Children’s Gallery, complete with an archeological dig pit. Get ready to discover a history of Alberta you won’t find anywhere else.
Family Day Fire & Ice Festivals
February 17, 2020 (Family Day) from 12 pm to 4pm at Lacombe Lake Park (McKenney Avenue). You can enjoy kids firefighter obstacle course, petting zoo from Finnegan farms, fun crafts with the Home Depot, skating, pond hockey, fire artists performance, sleigh rides, temporary glitter tattoos, cabane a sucre, ice carver, food and fire pits.
