Strathcona County Playgrounds to Re-open on May 22

Playgrounds are reopening in Strathcona County and that means that kids can get back out there and enjoy some of this gorgeous weather, on playground structures. There are 138 playgrounds reopening in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County area, which will be opened throughout the day.

Here is the opening schedule for parks and recreation facilities in Sherwood Park 

May 20:

Broadmoor public golf course’s driving range and ProShop

May 22:
Playground and outdoor fitness equipment amenities re-openings throughout the day (138 playground locations). Skateboard park at Millennium Place and Clubhouse at the Broadmoor Public Golf Course

May 22-29
Gazebos/picnic shelters – staged opening

May 29
Bike skills park (pending maintenance and weather)
Disc golf at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre

June 1, June 15, June 30
Select fields and diamonds staged opening: as Alberta Health Services approves sport-specific organizations only.*

*Not open for league play.
