Want to feel that sand between your toes? Maybe cool off a bit in the water? Allan Beach Resort is one of the closest places to Edmonton where you’re going to be able to do just that, for a price.
Allan Beach Resort is private, and comes with a fee of $10/person – so it can get a little expensive when you’re with a family, but the sand is nice and soft to play in and the medium sized beach area has nice clear water for the little ones to wade into.
The $25/family rate is worth it, if you don’t want to drive further out of the city to have a semi nice beach that the kids can play in, wading in the shallow water. Within a half hour of the city, it’s attainable for a quick trip with the kids, but you’re going to want to go early on a hot day as they get to capacity quickly for the day entry – and you don’t want to wait in a line up with kids that are antsy to get to the beach.
