Celebrate fall with the horses at Whitemud Equine Learning Centre at our Pop-Up $15 Pony Ride Event on September 24th, 2016. Children ages 2 – 10 will enjoy a 20 minute ride on one of our special lesson horses in the indoor riding arena at WELCA (Whitemud Equine Learning Centre). We provide riding helmets for safety and our fabulous lesson horses for riding.
We took part in this last year, and it was a fun quick afternoon outing for the kids, with the pony ride, and crafts and activities in the equine centre afterward. The kids had hot chocolate, we had a quick peek around and said hello to some animals, and were on our way. For the quick introduction to riding, the kids enjoyed it, and we found it worth the $15 cost.
A parent or guardian must be willing to lead the horse or sidewalk with the child, so be prepared to sidewalk (beside the horse) with your child(ren), and note that there are no open toed or heeled shoes allowed when you’re walking beside.
